Sadonna Carter, Children’s Pastor
Sadonna received a degree in Early Childhood Education from Atlanta Christian College (now Point University). Her teaching experience includes several years at Eastside Elementary in Senoia, CCW Preschool, leader of the Whitewater Homeschool Co-op, but most importantly homeschool teacher to her own 3 children, Johnny, Jake, and Josey. Sadonna is a native of Fayette County and has attended CCW since she herself was a child. She loves watching little ones grow and find the joy of the Lord all around them. She also has a heart for parents and wants to support families as “they train up their children in the way they should go,” Proverbs 22:6.
CCW KIDS partners with and supports parents in their spiritual walk with Christ while nurturing children to know that they can trust God no matter what, treat others the way they want to be treated, and make wise choices in their lives. Our ministry provides a safe and fun place for children to experience God’s Story while parents worship, and we provide developmentally appropriate environments and activities that enhance their beginning relationships with Jesus.
Sunday School (9:30am – 10:30am): Children ages 2 years through 5th grade attend small groups. The children will enjoy interactive learning, music and listening activities.
Sunday Worship: (10:45am-12:00pm): We strive to teach God’s truth in ways that impact a child’s choices and actions. Through creativity and imagination we make their church experience relevant to their daily lives. Kids have time, availability, and enthusiasm to accomplish great things for His Kingdom. By teaching them to develop a biblical worldview, we can ignite an awakening that will impact generations to come. For the same reason that Jesus gave his attention to kids, we believe kids grow best when nurtured by loving mentors and teachers. Our mornings are filled with puppets, music, bible study, and crafts. Games and social time happen at the end of the morning, which are very important in building relationships.
Upon arrival, all parents must sign in their children at the children’s ministry booth. Parents and children are each given an identification tag with a matching number, which is turned in at pick-up; this ensures that children are matched with their parents at the end of the morning.
Nursery: Nursery care is provided in a loving atmosphere on Sunday mornings. Our volunteers have held babies for years, and they cannot wait to share God’s love with our smallest members! Upon arrival, parents and children are given a tag with a number to ensure safety during pick up. Parents are asked to write down important information such as feeding times and other important information that is used throughout the morning by all volunteers to ensure your baby feels safe, comfortable, and secure.
